Being “There”

I want to take a break from our “What a Girl Wants” series to talk about a common issue that is starting to gain momentum throughout society: Being There

What does it mean?

You are a man, there are things that you can do that a woman can’t. No matter what the Women’s Equality Representatives and Man-Hating Dykes say, there will always be things that a man can do that a woman can’t.

Be there for your kids. It takes your sperm to make a child. If you didn’t want the child then you should have found a better way to “keep your hands to yourself.” Fact of the matter is, the kid is here now, and you’re responsible. Yes, it does take two to tango, but if you break it down to simple math:

1 (her) X 1 (you)= 1 (child)

1 (her) X 0 (you)= 0 (child)

Let’s not lose focus…

You’re a dad, you have a kid who needs you. You might not think you have much to offer, but simply giving your time and following your baby-momma’s directions will result in you being a useful and necessary part of the overall family unit.

You and your child have a bond, one that NOTHING can or will break. Be There for them; when they need you, and when they don’t.
